Registration is done as efficiently and quickly as possible, but we have 30-40 or more to get checked in and started in the system. Please be patient as we want to be sure we take the neccessary time with each client to be sure that every patient gets the specialized care it deserves. After we finish with the registration process, we go to work providing surgery and other services to the pets in our care for the day. When we are finished, and all the pets are ready of discharge, we get all the paperwork together, and send your pets home for their recovery. Discharge will depend on the workload for the day, and you will be given an approximate discharge time when you register.

Through spaying and neutering, you can help your dog or cat live a happier, healthier, longer life. Spaying eliminates the constant crying and nervous pacing of a female cat in heat. Spaying a female dog also eliminates the messiness associated with the heat cycle.
Neutering of male dogs and cats can prevent certain undesirable sexual behaviors, such as urine marking, humping, male aggression and the urge to roam. If you have more than one pet in your household, all the pets will generally get along better if they are neutered.
A long-term benefit of spaying and neutering is improved health for both cats and dogs. Spaying females prior to their first heat cycle nearly eliminates the risk of breast cancer and totally prevents uterine infections and uterine cancer. Neutering males prevents testicular cancer and enlargement of the prostate gland, and greatly reduces their risk for perianal tumors.
All healthy dogs and cats over the age of 8 weeks and weighing at least 2 pounds are eligible for surgery.
There is an additional charge of $25 for dogs that are over 65 lbs.
To protect your pet from contagious diseases, keep his essential vaccinations up-to-date. This is important even if your pet is kept mostly indoors. Many contagious diseases are airborne and your pet could easily be exposed through an open window. There is also always a risk that your pet could accidentally slip out the door. Boarding kennels, dog parks and grooming salons are all areas where your pet is likely to be exposed to contagious diseases so be sure to consult with your veterinarian before taking your pet to any of these places
It is also important to keep in mind that vaccinations take a few days to a few weeks to become effective.
We may may also recommend other vaccines for your dog depending on where you live and your dog's lifestyle:
